Washington, N.J., June 8, 2023 – The Arc of Warren County is pleased to announce that Norman Worth and WRNJ Radio have been awarded the prestigious Distinguished Community Service Award by The Arc of New Jersey. This recognition was bestowed upon them following a nomination by The Arc of Warren County, highlighting their commitment and invaluable support to the Agency and the community. Bert Baron, host of the “RNJ Morning Program,” accepted the award on behalf of Norman Worth and WRNJ Radio.

The Distinguished Community Service Award is presented annually by The Arc of New Jersey, a leading organization dedicated to advocating for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and ensuring their full inclusion and participation in society. This esteemed accolade acknowledges individuals and organizations that demonstrate outstanding dedication, empathy, and compassion towards enriching the lives of people with disabilities.

Norman Worth, President and General Manager of WRNJ, and WRNJ Radio, an Adult Contemporary radio station, have supported The Arc of Warren County for 33 years with countless hours of on-air time for many different initiatives, including The Arc of Warren County’s Radiothon. Norman Worth has also served as the co-chair for The Arc of Warren County’s Radiothon with WRNJ for five consecutive years. Through their unwavering commitment and support, they have created a platform that amplifies the voices and stories of individuals who often face barriers in our society.

This annual fundraiser has grown exponentially with the support of Norman Worth, Larry Tighe, and the staff of WRNJ Radio. Their dedication and tireless efforts have helped raise over $1.8 million, enabling The Arc of Warren County to provide crucial resources, advocacy, and support to individuals and families across Warren County.

“WRNJ Radio and Norman Worth are true community partners of The Arc of Warren County,” says Annamaria Lalevee, Chief Development and Communications Officer at The Arc of Warren County. “Their longstanding commitment to Radiothon exemplifies their deep-rooted compassion and dedication to improving the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
