Washington, N.J., September 24, 2019 – The Arc of Warren County recently received a Community Advisory Board (CAB) Grant from Atlantic Health System (AHS) and Hackettstown Medical Center (HMC) for $3,500 for Therapeutic Course Integration in the Recreation Department and Camp Warren Summer Camp Program.

Atlantic Health System and Hackettstown Medical Center are committed to building healthier communities beyond simply the delivery of excellent health care in hospitals, medical practices and facilities.  Understanding and supporting the needs of the local community in Morris and Warren counties is a top priority for Hackettstown Medical Center.  A list of priority health needs in Warren County were identified in the most recent Community Needs Assessment performed by the North Jersey Health Collaborative, in partnership with HMC and AHS.  The Arc of Warren County was awarded the CAB Grant because the organization has met one or more of the identified priority health needs, and will now help HMC and AHS address these needs, which is great news for residents of this region!

“Being awarded the CAB Grant from Atlantic Health Systems and Hackettstown Medical Center has enabled The Arc of Warren County’s Recreation Department to fund value-added experiences in the form of music and expanded art therapy programs for our consumers,” says John Whitehead, CEO of The Arc of Warren County.  “This opportunity will impact our Recreation Department programs in a positive manner and we are very thankful to be a CAB grant recipient.”
