Washington, N.J., July 30, 2020 – The Arc of Warren County and The House of The Good Shepherd will join forces for the first time to hold a Golf Classic at 8:30 a.m. and running through the end of the day on September 14, 2020 at Hawk Pointe Golf Club in Washington. Attendees and sponsors will be supporting both The Arc Foundation and The House of the Good Shepherd’s special charity called The Shepherd’s Fund.

In the past, The Arc and The House of the Good Shepherd held separate golf outings, but the two groups felt strongly that by combining their efforts it would be of great benefit to each of them, their sponsors, and the participants.

“I am so pleased that both of our organizations can work together to provide the community with this event,” says Susan Lanza, Chief Executive Officer, House of the Good Shepherd. “It is a wonderful opportunity to partner and build a longstanding relationship with another non-profit.”

The Arc Foundation was established in 1998 to provide a continuum of funding to help assure the financial security of The Arc programs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  The Shepherd’s Fund was founded by The House of the Good Shepherd’s Board of Trustees to provide financial assistance to residents whose resources have depleted over time and allow them to receive care regardless of their financial capacity to pay.

Norman Worth, Managing Partner and President of WRNJ Radio and The House of the Good Shepherd Board Member, will serve as the emcee for this event.

“Please consider joining us on September 14th at the Golf Classic,” says John Whitehead, CEO of The Arc of Warren County.  “It should be an excellent event for attendees to enjoy the day in a safe manner and also support The Arc Foundation and The Shepherd’s Fund. It has been a pleasure to work with The House of the Good Shepherd for the first time in such a significant manner.”

Please note that attendees must adhere to the current COVID-19 regulations under the New Jersey mandate with regard to social distancing and wearing masks. This event will be held outdoors. The rain date for this event is September 21, 2020.

Cost to attend is $175 and $70 for dinner only with many sponsorship levels that range from Gold Sponsorship ($2,000) to Tee Sponsor ($150).  Individuals can register online at www.arcwarren.org or www.hotgs.org. For any questions, please call (908) 223-0884 or (908) 684-5726.
