FAQs
Ways to participate without donating
You do not have to donate to participate. Sharing, asking, and cheering on your team counts and makes a big difference!
- Share a Radiothon post
- Create a fundraising page
- Send personal asks to your network (text or email)
- Invite a coworker to join the sweepstakes or create a page
- Thank a donor (comment, message, or a short post)
- Submit a short quote for staff shoutouts
- Sign up as a Radiothon caller (before or after)
**NOTE: Individuals who donate and/or raise at least $10 will be eligible to win a grand prize of up to $500. Other individual and team prizes will be announced.**
Can I donate or ask others to donate without making a Qgiv page?
Yes, of course! You can still donate and ask others to support Radiothon on your behalf. Gifts can be made online or via cash or check. See RaeAnn or Annamaria for pledge slips for you and your donors to fill out.
- The most important thing is that you submit your proof of entries via the google form or by emailing/scomm gbeben@arcwarren.org. This way you will still be eligible for the cash prize!
What if no one I asked donated?
You get 3 entries when you ask at least 3 people to donate, regardless whether the people you ask donate or not, and let us know that you did via the google form or email.
- If they do make a gift, you earn an additional 1 entry per gift (just be sure to let us know)! If your total raised between your donation and theirs is at least $10, you’re eligible for the cash prize drawing!
Fundraising Tips
Asking someone for a donation can feel awkward, but you may be surprised by how many people are willing to donate even a small amount simply because you thought to ask them! Try not to focus on the few people who will inevitably say no…because there are many more (even strangers!) who would be delighted to help you reach your goal and your organization.
Use these tips and the messages on the following page to help get you started:
- Ask directly. A personal message works better than only posting on social media.
- Start with your inner circle. Family, close friends, coworkers, and neighbors are often the first to give.
- Keep it easy. Short messages are more likely to get a response.
- Say thank you often. A quick thank-you can inspire others to give too.
- Use a milestone. People like to help you reach a finish line!
**Our Development & Communications team (aka the Fundraisers!!) is always available to help and pump you up! Reach out to Annamaria Lalevee and RaeAnn Rowlin any time. 😊**
