Long-time Annual Member Jill Notte shares how her annual gift makes an impact:

“I will always feel a strong connection to the Arc of Warren County. The rare disorder from which my sister Gail suffered is called Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS), and it has distinct challenges that make most group homes unworkable. The Agency was willing to take on these challenges and open a specialized group home for PWS in the 1990s. It became known as Hampton Terrace, and Gail lived there for more than 20 years.

At every level of the organization, the staff of The Arc of Warren County are caring and dedicated to their consumers. But the support and relationships go far deeper than that. I witnessed how staff and consumers become family members to each other. The Arc left no stone unturned to find solutions to the many challenges that arose across the days and years and decades that Gail was in their care. They enriched her life not only with activities but also with love and compassion that I know Gail could feel.

Gail passed away nearly four years ago, but I continue to be a member of the Agency and support it financially. I want to make sure they always have the resources they need to help Gail’s precious housemates and all the friends she had in the community. My entire family will always be thankful for the Arc.”
